Everybody knows the Rioja wine region, but the most modern wine region of Spain is Somontano. There are tens of bodegas lying at the foot of the mountains. Many winehouses offer guided tours (also in English). Each visit ends with a small tasting. The entrance fees are low and the wines are excellent.
