Several ski resorts are only a 30-minute drive away. The ski resorts are easily accessible and large (free) parkings are located at the ski slopes. For the beginning skier we recommend Panticosa ski resort. This station has a lot of easy ski slopes but also a really beautiful and long descent.
For the more advanced skier we recommend the modern ski resort Formigal. This resort has 137 km of slopes with modern chair lifts. Most slopes are red and black, but it is possible to cross the different valleys on blue slopes. Because of the excellent orientation you can ski on sunny days the whole day in the sun. It is possible to ski in Formigal from begin December untill Easter. On the ski slopes you can find nice bars and there are nice après-ski possibilities. It is even possible to go for an exclusive lunch at restaurant La Glera. If wanted, we can make a reservation for you.
There is even a third ski station: Astun-Candanchu. This ski station has in total 100 km of slopes. The mountains are overwhelming. As this ski station is one of the oldest in Spain, some chair lifts are outdated. However, the longest chair lifts are again modern and fast. For the real daredevil there is the Zapatilla descent. This is one of the most difficult ski slopes in the world.
